Tired & Sad: Victoria's Secret Clearance

Today VS released a coupon code for 20% off clearance clothing items online. This comes after the company already sent coupons to select folks for $15 off a clothing purchase.... Desperate to dump the sale clothes, huh?


Good luck to corporate because the clothes they're trying to get rid of look like crap! When you look through the items, try deliberately to force yourself to ignore the VS brand and the model & really just look at the items for what they are. Through that lens, the tops and bottoms look like they could be from Salvation Army. 

Where Victoria's Secret clothes go to die

Yes, you KNOW you can find Moda International in Salvation Army, girl, don't lie! And it looks just like every other piece of fabric that came from Express, Rave, Talbots, or JC Penney. It's all the same. Same effect when someone wears VS clothes. Can't tell where it came from, nondescript, nothing special... the epitome of average. My motto: do not pay a premium (even if it's small) for average. 


The only VS clothing section that might have something worthy of being called fashion: dresses. Other than the few gems there, you'd probably fall asleep of boredom before making it very far through the hundreds & hundreds of shirts & bottoms. Proof:

Yeah, you just fell asleep. It's ok, so did I. Seriously, look at that. Walmart probably makes that shirt. 
The designs are blah, the colors are bleh, and half of the time when you get the thing in hand & try it on... you end up saying 'meh.' Trust me, if VS allowed online purchases to be returned in store, profits from web sales would drop big time.


When it comes to clothes, I say VS Pink is HOT and regular VS is NOT.
